Character profiles: THE SODIUM BICARBONATES
The Sodium Bicarbonates is a jazzy feline quartet playing the most frantic swing jazz music that will set your feet on fire! Let's meet each of the members:
Zaccheo
If you ever need to ask someone for a favour, this guy isn't the one. The anal retentive little @#%* won’t hesitate to turn you in to the police than to face the having to bend the rules for something insignificant like greasing a bouncer at the door or ripping off the ‘it is illegal to remove this’ label from a mattress.
Maffeo
There’s a sucker in every circle of friends who doesn’t dare rock the boat and this guy is that one of the group. He’s no alpha-male. He’s a follower who flip-flops more times than a politician during an election year. Ladies, he is so whipped and desperate for a date that he's always ready and willing to be your backup.
Galileo
He’s your best friend until he has a girlfriend. Ambitious and with connections up the wazoo to people in socially high places, he’s quick to step all over you and steal your woman, but only when he benefits. He’s not a bad person. It’s just that he knows she’s better off with him than anyone else.
Eliseo
He doesn’t give a crap and is so sedate, you will feel the constant urge to water him. Though he’s not above peeing himself and running under the nearest bed when somebody says ‘boo’, he’s one of those guys you really hate because your woman will unceremoniously dump you for him.
One time on tour, the 4 cats got into a tif with the opening band— a girl group duo. Getting a little competitive as males do, The Sodium Bicarbonates fought over each other trying to win the ladies for themselves. Not just your typical backstage shenanigans and brouhaha, I'm talking while on stage!
It was a low period in their musical career— catnip and fur everywhere. The gutter press was all over it, breakup rumours abounded and worst of all, no one got any girl.
But on the positive side, they made tonnes of coin on a song they recorded about the experience.
